Lighting Design by Brahma London

At over 9500 sqft, this Grade II listed converted barn was lovingly restored by it's owner after extensive flood damage.

At it's heart, the main barn has been retained as a single open space measuring 45 long by 10 metres wide and at over 8m to it's roof apex.

This cathedral-like space houses all the living areas including kitchen, dining area and lounge with two freestanding structures containing utility rooms, WC and a TV room with a games area and open cinema sat atop amongst the eaves.

Brahma London was tasked with a complete redesign and specification of the barn's lighting. Using architectural fittings specified from Kreon, the prominent 24 oak columns and A-frame rafters were lit individually to illuminate the entire space as one.

An emphasis on the client's extensive artwork collection and a disco mirror-ball at the centre gave opportunities to add feature lighting along with decorative industrial chandeliers.
